23 Days and Counting

May 12, 2011

Gosh, it is crazy... I am getting married in 23 days. The engagment has been great, and now the only thing left to plan is the little stuff. For example, me and Chase and our parents are going to a group dance lesson tonight to brush up on our sweet dance moves.

And soon I will be living with a boy. I don't know if I quite have grasped what that is going to be like, but I am excited!!! Chase got the keys to our new apartment right by downtown Houston a couple weeks ago. I have been slowly moving things over there after work and on the weekends. I am pumped about decorating the house and making it feel warm and homey (not sure if that is a word). It is going to be our first home.

For some reason I am fretting over what the bathroom theme/colors should be. It is a huge decision. As of now our towels are a neutral dark beige color, but I have been reading to focus on a color or theme and make the room pop. The bathroom walls are white, the counter and cabinets are a neutral color. I am thinking we need to pick a color, but it is a huge decision, so I don't know what to do.

Below are some pictures from the Elle Decor website of bathrooms that I like. I am leaning towards a fresh look with maybe some flowers and a pop of color. Oh what to do!

So soon I will be posting some before pictures of the inside of the new apartment and update you on my decorative ideas. But for now, in honor of the coming WEDDING DAY, below are a few engagment pictures of me and Chase taken by our wedding photographer Ben Sassani.

sweet times. sweet love.

No deer, No Problem

December 27, 2010
I spent a weekend at my family ranch in Bandera with Chase's parents!

My dad just put some new exotic deer on the ranch -- black buck antelope and axis. Chase and I saw all of those, along with the sika deer. No white-tailed deer were to be found.

We still had a lot of fun though!

Chase and I also celebrated our one-year-since-we-started-dating anniversary that weekend.
